There’s a belief that is common in this world today,
That life is much more than a corporeal fray.
And they are right, and it’s true
And this rhyme is as blue
As the ocean that waits silent, for Consciousness’s coup
But it is not as they think, and it is not as they say
For nary does light wish that children should say.
“I am hurt, I’m in pain, and I’m sad that this day
God did come and smash infidels” ’cause some asshole did pray.”
But a change it is coming, a change it is near,
And change that will ring laughter in forests with cheer.
And it’s gentle, but sure, like a whisper that’s pure
Like a warm breeze a blowing over water azure
And I’ll tell you this once, and I’ll tell you again.
And I’ll point thus to Jobs and then at you again.
And say listen up there me bucko for the time it is near
So be thus aware, and be sure and be clear
If you wish to harm others, if you stand by and just watch,
If you use thus your power to fill coffers with rock.
If you let children suffer,
If you greedily dare.
If you sit there and laugh,
As your forefathers foreswear.
Then like a gentle warm kiss, a caress, and a hug,
The transition it comes, life no longer a a buzz.
But it is not cosmic smackdown, and it is not wheels of woe
And it is not violent put down, or coal fields all aglow.
It is silent, and secret, and it happens like snap.
And as a whisper it comes to put divinity on track.
And nobody that loves you will know this from that.
But we’ll miss you, dear one, as we look silently back.
