Well, I hate to say I told you so but, I told you so. I mean, do you remember the hype back in 2008. I certainly do. I had to put up with several people posting on our forums telling us how Obama was going to usher in the new age.  Oh I knew better, that’s for sure. I even started an “Obama I told you so” thread just to prove a point which was that many “spiritually minded” people out there, especially those that claim to have a clue, don’t really have a clue after all. I mean, how else do you explain Obama’s recent signing of the National Defense Authorization Act, a document that authorizes your government to take you into custody and hold you without trial if it suspects you of being a terrorist.

I mean really.

Would a lightworker do that?

Would a light worker put into the place the final pieces of repressive legislation that make a police state on U.S. soil a legal reality?

Maybe your definition of what a lightworker is is different then mine but I’m going to say no, a lightworker does not do things like that. I mean, it is bad enough that Obama reneged on all the promises he made to “lighten up” government (like doing away with rendition) before he was elected, but by now it should be quite obvious who he’s working for. And ya he says that his administration would never misuse the law, but that’s not really the point. Obama’s job isn’t to apply the repressive legislation, that is for the next administration, or maybe the one after that. His job was to distract the people while the final little pieces of repressive legislation were put in place, and demotivate them just a little bit more, and he did that with consummate brilliance.

Of course, he had help.

Not only did he run the most expensive presidential campaign in U.S. history (and I wonder who paid for that, huh?),  but every Tom, Dick, and Spiritual Harry who thought they had a clue jumped on the “savior’s” bandwagon. Even Alex Grey (whose paintings of the human energy system are amazing beyond belief)  thought enough (or perhaps he didn’t think enough) about Obama to paint a cool third-eye propaganda piece. The message in Grey’s painting seems clear enough. Obama is a third-eye activated savior of the world.

Oh my god.

You’d think you could trust somebody as intuitively connected as Alex Grey, right? But I guess not and I guess the lesson here is, don’t be so naive, gullible, and trusting. It might sound harsh but if you want my opinion, 90% of the people you look to as spiritual leaders are pretty much clueless about not only the true nature of spirituality, but the real nature of this world, and the evidence is in the Obama. Alex Grey might know a thing or two about the body’s energy system, but when it comes to politics and general spirituality, he seems pretty clueless to me. If he knew something, if he was as “connected” as we might assume (based on his cool paintings), he never would have painted that propaganda piece because his own active intuitive sensibility (his own third eye “spider sense” so to speak) would have been tingling away. But it wasn’t and so now all we have is a comically hypocritical picture of Obama with a globe on his third eye, and a nagging distrust of people like Alex Grey who may not be as wise as his paintings suggest. And you can criticize me for saying that all you want but if you ask me, getting mad at the messenger is not wise. I’m just saying, it appears to me that a lot of people who thought they had a spiritual clue were too easily fooled by Obama and his super-expensive, professionally run New York advertising campaign.

And its not the first error people have made either.

From predictions about global first contact to paranoid-schizophrenic talk about invisible lizards, something is not right in the spiritual land of Oz. Pretend it ain’t so all you want but don’t come crying to me in a few years when you wake up and find yourself far behind the general push of global awakening and empowerment.

Take off The Blindfold and quit being so bloody gullible.
