This brings us to the conclusion of volume one of the Book of Magic. As we can see looking back over it now, the book has been primarily concerned with advanced activation and fine tuning of the crown chakra. In the book I started off with admonition and technique, followed with some suggestions on widening your connection to The Fabric, and then went on to discuss in detail the sorts of things that can go wrong if you are not properly prepared, grounded, psychologically healthy, and careful. As we have seen, a lot can go wrong; not because the process is intrinsically difficult, or humans particularly untalented in this area (as some might believe), but simply because the sociological and psychological conditions on this planet are, in the context of the psychological health of your physical unit, and even under the absolute best of current conditions, horrifically unsuited to authentic crown chakra opening. Sadly, there’s just too much misconception and fear, too much damage to the physical unit, and too much horrid stress to make opening the crown an easy and straight forward thing to do. We are working on changing that of course, but until the conceptual structures and socialization practices of this planet are sufficiently revised, the keywords are “caution” and “observance.”
