Greetings. My name is Michael Sharp and this is the Book of Magic Volume One.[1] This book, which is an intermediate level Lighting Path^TM book, picks up where the Lightning Path Core teachings leave off. As such, I highly recommended that before you approach the topic matter of this book, you ensure that you are familiar with the Lightning Path Core teachings. The LP Core books provide the foundation for the work that we do here.

Now, for those of you unfamiliar with my work, the Lightning Path Core consists of six basic spiritual books covering topics ranging from basic spiritual technique (The Great Awakening), basic cosmological and theological principles (The Book of Light Volume One), basic information on the purpose of this earth (The Book of Life), a basic “owner’s manual” for your physical unit (The Dossier of the Ascension), a basic guide to archetypal revision and guided spiritual communication (The Book of the Triumph of Spirit), and a synoptic overview of “the plan” (The Song of Creation). Taken together, these six books amount to a basic spiritual curriculum that provides you with the technique and information that you need to begin a confident and joyful spiritual awakening. Below is the complete LP Core listing of books.

It’s very important that you understand and integrate the concepts and practices provided in the LP Core books. Indeed, I cannot overestimate the importance. If you do not, if you do not have a solid grounding in proper thinking and basic spiritual technique, then materials in this book can be dangerous to you. The truth is, on this earth, and as a part of the pervasive spiritual indoctrination that goes on, on this planet, the mind of our physical unit is filled with a lot of nonsense and crap about the nature of God, the universe, and our relation to all that is. This psychological indoctrination, coupled with the abusive patterns of socialization and the pathological psychological manipulation that we all go through, end up keeping our “level of consciousness” in the physical unit to relatively low levels and this can be a problem. The literal damage that our physical unit undergoes, the twisted ego structures, the damaged self esteem, the weak (when compared to the force of full consciousness) awareness that counts for consciousness on this planet, makes it dangerous to confront higher consciousness without training—and the more damage, the more danger. The more damage, the more likely it is that you are going to get thrown for a side loop when you contact the glorious higher consciousness of yourself. And this is basically why I insist on the basic training. It’s not that hard, but it is something you have to do.

Now, if you’ve studied the LP Core books, then you’ve already taken the first step which is to clear out all the muck and mud (i.e., wrong thinking) from your physical unit in order to avoid the dramatic “disjuncture” that can come when a physical unit filled with the bullshit spiritual and political doctrines of this earth is confronted with the awesome truth of it’s glorious light and compassion. Once you’ve done that then the next step is to actually start bringing your higher consciousness into your body in a more direct and full time way. You have to remember, the goal of this process is the expansion of consciousness into the body. Healing the body and mind (the goal of the LP Core) is only the first step. After that, you actually have to start bringing consciousness into the body and that will take a bit of practice. It is a big job.

Now if you read my Great Awakening and Dossier of Ascension you might be thinking thinking that you’ve already done this and to a certain extent you are right. In the Dossier of the Ascension I provide a basic chakra visualization, the Great Invocation (GI), that opens all the chakras. As those of you who practice it will know, the Great Invocation is a very powerful “rotor rooter” for your chakras, but even so, it is limited. The limitation arises because the GI is really only a very general activation procedure. It gets the chakra energies flowing, get’s you manifesting your issues and fears in order to clear and heal, but it stops shorts of refined chakra activation. If you want, you can think of the GI like the ignition switch of a car and your body, your physical unit, as a car that’s been sitting in the driveway for a long time unused. You get in, you turn the key (i.e., practice the GI), the engine churns, sputters, misfires, chugs, and spits out black smoke and vomit for the first few minutes while it’s combustion pathways (i.e., energy pathways) are cleared, and only then does it start to chug on its own.

And that’s step one.

That’s the LP Core.

And after that?

Well, remember the energetic systems of your vehicle have been sitting idle maybe for decades and so everything about it is going to be out of tune. Therefore, after the initial sputtering start up, you have to start tuning up. Just like starting a vehicle that been sitting for five years, getting it running is just the start. Parts may need to be cleaned, adjustments made, and fine tuning done before the vehicle starts to run at optimal efficiency and that’s what this book is about. This volume one of the Book of Magic takes a look in more detail not at the entire energy system, but at the crown chakra and how to understand it, how to fine tune it, and how to get the most out of the connection that it gives you to the glorious Fabric of Consciousness. Ultimately, this book is about bringing consciousness down into the body in a more complete and full way—accepting a greater “measure” of your higher consciousness into the physical vehicle.

And this is why we have to be cautious.

This is why you have to prepare the ground first (wash the robes so to speak).

When you get right down to it, your higher consciousness is quite different than the “normal” egoic consciousness of your body, at least on this earth. On this earth, were the potential of our physical unit to contain higher levels of our glorious spiritual consciousness is literally beaten out of us, your higher consciousness is dramatically different than the normal consciousness we walk around in on a daily basis. So different, in fact, that it’s exactly like putting a candle’s light (your normal consciousness) up next to the sun (your full consciousness), and I’m not exaggerating. In fact, I’m underestimating the difference by several orders of magnitude. So you can see, the difference is staggering and as a result, it’s going to require some practice, some adjustment here and there, and maybe some guidance… just to make sure your physical unit is coping properly. And this is especially true in the early stages when you are starting out and unsure of your footing. The truth is, it is possible to be overwhelmed and confused, bowled over even by the force of your own higher consciousness.

Bottom line?

You have to be careful.

Not that you should worry however.

Assuming proper preparation, and assuming you do not get lost in a solipsistic megalomania that sometimes comes along when authentic crown opening is conducted with damaged personality structures, you’ll be just fine. Nothing to fear and besides, really, you’re not learning anything new. You are just returning your physical body to a condition of consciousness that it used to exist in before Annunaki colonizers took over this planet some thirty thousand years ago and forcibly disconnected the physical unit from the Fabric of Consciousness. The potential is “in your genes” in other words so once you get some confidence and experience, you’ll be fine on our own. It’s really just the initial phases of awakening and empowerment where the danger is and where assistance may be required.

Which bring us back to the purpose of the Book of Magic Volume One. You can consider this book the official start of your practical efforts to connect with, “commune,” or otherwise initiate descent of your higher consciousness into the body. Once you’ve done the prepatory work, cleared out the wrong headed ideas, cleared those chakra pipes, established some basic spiritual technique (breathing, visualization, etc.), then you can start to make a more formal and direct connection to the Fabric of Consciousness and this book will show you how to do that. Staring with a chapter on the all-important topic of mental control, I will then go into a discussion of the process of connecting to your higher consciousness. During the course of this book we will look at precautionary measures, connection rituals, best practices, and even pitfalls and pathologies that can emerge as a result of faulty spiritual practice. Once you’re done this book you should have a decent theoretical and practical ground to be begin safe and empowering excursions into Fabric of Consciousness.

And after that?

Well, I believe that this is just the start. Once you’ve begun to develop and refine your spiritual connection, something that should be taught to you as part of the “high school” curriculum of this planet, you can start working on your other chakras. One by one, from top to bottom, they all have to be properly opened and tuned if you are to be able to claim full activation of your physical unit. I admit, it’s a bit of work, but if done properly, it’s a joyous work and one that brings you back to a position of empowerment and mastery that, to be honest, we haven’t seen on this planet for an awful long time. And it won’t take that long. Once we all start to get going, once the “map” that’s provided here begins to settle into the collective consciousness of this planet, things will begin to move very quickly. Rather than the current condition of spiritual knowledge on this planet, where we find good advice and practice mixed with honest mistakes and fear based misrepresentations, we’ll slowly start to build a corpus of high quality, advanced, and salutatory information that will rocket us all forward into full awakening and empowerment.

It should be fun to watch.

Now before closing, I want to say one more thing. For those of you coming out of the cold of the new age movement, what I’m basically talking about in this book is channeling. In the new age movement you often find people “channeling.” Channeling is basically what happens when one individual opens up the connection of their physical unit to the Fabric of Consciousness and allows the information to flow through. Channeling is basically what I teach in this book though my approach is significantly different than you would find in the new age. In my opinion, what new age channels are doing when they “channel” is basically an uninformed, intermittent, and often unconscious (especially when people “trance channel”) version of what I’m talking about here.[2] Amongst new agers, this process is often shrouded in mystery and exclusion (i.e., only some people can and should learn how to do it) and at some times approaches sideshow status.

Now in this book I go beyond the new age conception of channeling and present it not as something that you should do once in a while, but as the beginning stages in the development of a much more permanent and full time connection to your higher consciousness. That is, the ultimate goal here goal isn’t to open and close channels to bring in information “once in a while” (i.e., in channeled circles), the goal is complete and open full time communication. In this context we can understand channeling in the new age movement as no more than sticking your toes in the warm waters of a vast ocean. It’s fine while you are testing the water and building up confidence, but ultimately you’re gonna want to jump right in and have a nice swim around.
