What is enlightenment? The answer to the question is easy, but you’d never get that from the contortions that we, as a species, have gone through. Ten thousand years of inquiry, the brightest philosophical minds, and tons of fancy technology, but no generally acceptable answer seems anywhere in sight? Are we, as a species, doomed to spiritual confusion or can we finally settle on an answer, and a path, that we can all agree to. Only time will decide. Continue reading →

Gospel of Mathew 10

In this dialog James and I begin taking on the bible “chapter by chapter.” We start with Mathew ten and in the weeks ahead will go through rest of Mathew, moving on to John and eventually the Nag Hamdi libraries. Faith

Faith, faith, faith. What is faith? Is it blind belief in God, consciousness, or Jesus Christ, or is it something more. Looking at actual scripture and comments made Jesus in the gospel of Mathew, James and I talk about faith as faith in one’s own power, faith in own’s own glorious nature, and faith in the ultimate power of consciousness (otherwise known as God with a big “G”), to get the job done. In the course of our discussion we look at commitment to right action, right thought, and right environment, authentic change, the need for support, the water glass, and alignment. End times, ascension, and the birth of Christ

I’ve always thought the Lightning Path to be a bit critical of traditional “old energy” religion and spirituality. It certainly takes issue with the excuses, justifications, and distortion common in institutionalized religion. Because of this critical turn I have certainly never seen the Lightning Path as a road BACK to established tradition, but I guess that it is. In this dialog James and I talk about a number of things, but what stands out for me is that after his deep encounter with the Lightning Path he has actually found his way back to the core truths and teachings of Jesus Christ and the Christianity of his birth, family, and community. In other words the Lightning Path has strengthened his faith. Now if the same can be said of encounters with the Lightning Path and other traditions, like Hinduism, and Buddhism, then this might be the start of something very, very, big. Continue reading →
