The Great Awakening - Awaken, Empower, Ascend

Once of the nice things about the LP is it doesn't make any hierarchical or exclusionary assumptions. Unlike the grotesque system of "education" we are currently forced to endure, which forces everybody to follow the same curriculum, at the same pace, regardless of interest, ability, or motivation, on the LP you study at your own pace. The LP is simply not a race. You're not going to get a gold star for being better than everybody else, or win the fancy trophy because you're faster, or get bragging rights so that you can make everybody else around you feel small and unworthy. Here you simply make progress at your own speed and graduate when you believe you are ready.

And when will you know when you are ready? Well, there's basically two ways to evaluate this. On the one hand you have to evaluate your understanding of key concepts and ideas. If you understand the concepts and ideas presented as part of the LP core, then you are ready to move on. If you don't, spend a little more time on the forums asking questions about concepts and ideas you find in the core books. As list of concepts and ideas that you should be familiar with is provided below. Note that some of the concepts are elaborated on the web site, but most are explained in the core books.

On the other hand you have to evaluate your own psychological and chakra health. As you know, the goal of the core level of study is unblocked chakras. You meditate with The Great Invocation, you bring up all the issues, fears, and blockages which prevent healthy flow, you clear those, and you do it again and again until all the fears and issues and blockages are behind you. How long that takes is entirely up to you (remember, this is not a race). The only tough question is, how do you know when all the fears and blockages are behind you?

Well, you know when things no longer come up. It is as simple as that. When you use the GI, when you fire up the chakras, if nothing "comes up" around you (either in yourself or your family), then you're clear. If things still come up, then you're not. For example, if after a couple days of GI visualization you begin to feel a lot of fear and paranoia, then obviously something is inside that you have to work on. Similarly, if you do the GI and then family pathology begins to emerge, you've obviously got work in that department as well. If you keep your head down and keep committed to the path, you're probably looking at between six months and two years of study. This of course varies. If you had a really bad childhood for example, and if you live in a toxic family situation, it could take longer because you'll be working with not only your own issues, but those in your family. Keep that in mind. THIS IS NOT AN INDIVIDUAL PROCESS. To a greater or lesser extent, we all move forward together, or we all stay stuck where we are.

This isn't of course to say that you should stay in a violent or supremely toxic environment. Ultimately a decision to stay or go will depend on a lot of factors. It is just to say, don't for a minute think this is something that you are doing in isolation. We are all connected and what we do impacts those connected most closely.

In any case, and as noted above, the test is whether or not things come up. When you can do the GI without invoking a whirlwind of chaos, then it's time to move on. While you're still swimming the pathologies of your childhood, your past life, or those around you, you've still got work to do. And if you need help, don't be afraid to ask. A little assistance can go along way towards getting you through the core phase of awakening and empowerment.
