The Great Awakening - Awaken, Empower, Ascend

The focus of the Lightning Path Core is on the basics. In the LP Core you will learn basic cosmology and theology (i.e. the nature of god (and God)) and basic spiritual technique (i.e. breathing, bodily maintenance, visualization). You'll also learn a host of new concepts and ideas that will help you ground and orient yourself towards the powerful spiritual openings and connections that you can expect as you progress on this path of authentic spirituality.  A listing of key concepts and a study guide will help you organize, remember, and integrate these new concepts.

Probably the most important aspect of the LP Core is the introduction you get to your physical body (or as I like to call it your physical unit). At the core level you learn to stop identifying with your physical body and start thinking of it in the proper context, as a vehicle (or sophisticated container) for your immortal consciousness. Like a lot of "shifts" you'll experience at this level, this is an important alteration in the way you think about things. Old world spiritualities emphasize your "soul," but that's a misnomer. The real focus needs to be on your container. The bottom line is, your physical vehicle, your "container," has to be functioning properly and in good repair if you expect it to function as an appropriate and suitable vehicle for immortal consciousness.

One thing I should point out to you now. You'll find, as you step onto this Lightning Path of authentic spirituality, and especially as you engage in the prescribed visualization and practice (i.e. use of The Great Invocation Meditation), that things will begin to change. You will notice outcomes in your life almost immediately. This may be a bit disconcerting for you at the start, especially if you have been trained in the impotent spiritualities of the old world which provide ineffective technique and then excuse their failure by telling you to expect progress years from now or even after death and in the next life. Not so on the Lightning Path where you can expect movement almost immediately. So, if you are having difficulties, please be sure to check out our forums and support options. There are people standing by waiting to help you understand and ground your spiritual experiences.

A final comment, please feel free and encouraged to introduce yourself on the forums and to discuss any concepts or ideas that you either do not understand, are uncomfortable with, or have something to add to. The stated goal of the Lightning Path is nothing less than the replacement of a dis-empowering and oppressive old world spirituality (and old world philosophy) with a system of thought and practice that smashes the chains and returns us to our original power and glory and so any feedback, discussion, or commentary that you may provide will be welcome and useful.

As above in consciousness, so below in matter

One of the seven pillars of authentic spirituality is that authentic spirituality should be accessible. That is, authentic spirituality should do what spiritualities purport to do and that is provide accessible answers to the common questions we ask. Another way of putting that is, authentic spiritualities answer the Big Questions. Unlike a lot of religions and gurus who seem to spin you around in wilberesque circles, never getting to the point, and heaping complicated nonsense upon convoluted senselessness (all in an attempt to hide the fact that they really don't know what they are talking about), authentic spirituality gives you what you ask for --> meaning, purpose, and understanding.

At the Core level you will get answers to almost all the Big Questions that you may have asked yourself over the years, and these answers will be clear, internally consistent, logical, and (if I do say so myself) elegant and beautiful (and that's not just my opinion). Even at this early level you'll get the full package deal, and while there will still be a need for elaboration and expansion, by the time you've read the core books you should have a solid and grounded conceptual framework that will allow you to understand and organize a lot of things that were made confusing and unnecessarily obtuse.

You'll get more than that at the core as well. In particular, and most importantly, by the end of your core study, you should have a good understanding of two key, capital "T" truths of our existence. One is that consciousness is a powerful (and ultimately primary) cause of all things (the "proof" of this is elaborated in all volumes of The Book of Light, and summarized in my pithy aphorism as above in consciousness, so below in matter) and the other is your physical body, your physical unit, is a potentially powerful manifestation device that currently sits idle and in "off" position but that can be easily "turned on" with, as I say in Dossier of the Ascension, dramatic and (ultimately) empowering results.  Getting you to understand the truth of As above in consciousness, so below in matter, and getting you to understand the power that you have buried within, is the instructional goal of the core level of study.

For your reference and guidance, I have included a "when to move on" resource that provides a template that you can use to assess your own progress and understanding of the LP Core level.

The following resources comprise the LP core level of study.You need to read, understand, and integrate all of these before moving on. Also note that the LP core includes a critical practical component (i.e. meditation with the Great Invocation). The Basics

The basics is a series of short introductory articles that outline some of the key concepts and perspectives of the Lightning Path. Read this first. It is a basic philosophical and theoretical statement, and an indication of the nature of The Lightning Path.

The LP Core includes five books and one bonus book. Parables

The core level of study includes a series of "parables." These parables are essential core readings. They provide high level overviews of key spiritual topics (like ascension, awakening, the divine plan, and so on). Reading them and absorbing the information can provide you with rapid forward movement. Consider, for example, how much more meaningful is the front page of this website (the introduction) when you have read and understood the provided parables.

Articles

I also include a series of core level articles which provide explore and expand on topics introduced in the books. These can be accessed by clicking the core articles tab on the left menu bar under the LP Core tab.

The following concepts and articles are key resources.  By the time you have finished your study, you should be broadly familiar with these ideas and concepts presented here.  The articles provided here are key articles. These articles are intended to flesh out and elaborate upon ideas, concepts, and other aspects of the LP that may require additional explanation.

Concepts and articles presented here deal with introductory spirituality. You'll find definitions of things like your physical unit (i.e. your body), authentic spirituality, right thinking, and other concepts essential to developing a strong, independent, and authentic (i.e. fruitful) spirituality. Articles here will focus on elaborating key concepts, dealing with problem areas in the initial awakening and activation process, and providing support and encouragement as you deal with the blockages and resistances that may keep from strong forward movement.

Each of the LP levels has a practical component that you must enage in if you are to make discernible spiritual practice. That is, it's not enough just to read the books. While reading the books will bring you progress (I do have many anectodal statements from people who experienced significant shifting after incorporating the right thinking provided in the LP Core books, this progress will not be permanent unless you back it up with the spiritual practice and real world changes. The bottom line is, if you don't engage in the practice, and if you don't commit to the changes required, you'll simply settle back down into old patterns, old ways of thinking, and states of reduced consciousness. There is no way around this, you must walk the walk.

At the core level the practical components are three fold. One, you must focus on learning to care for your physical unit properly, two, you must learn proper breathing technique, and three you must engage in visualization practice with the Great Invocation.

Now, the first two requirements are relatively straightforward and are covered my book, The Great Awakening: Concepts and Techniques for Successful Spiritual Practice (part of the LP Core books). The third requirement, meditative practice, requires some additional explanation. This third requirement basically has you using my meditation entitled The Great Invocationto activate your chakras. The The Great Invocation is basically my balanced chakra and ascension activation. To engage in this practice you simply follow along with the guidance provide in the meditation and voila, open chakras. It's not rocket science and it is not mystical mumbo jumbo. It is the same process you use when you open your hands--will it and it is so.

And that's it, sort of. The only problem is that when you open your chakras, things will start to happen. As I cover in some detail in the core book Dossier of the Ascension, once you turn on your seven main chakras (which have until now lay dormant as a result of the repression and oppression you experience at the hands of The System), your body becomes a much more powerful manifestation device and as soon as that happens, you begin to create in the world with much greater efficiency. What you create will depend, basically, on what you have in your head (both at a conscious and unconscious level.) and because most of us lead a pretty much unexamined life, burying our fears and issues and repressing anything that doesn't fit our image of what the world is "supposed" to be like, what "comes out" can be a bit of a surpise. It's hard to specify exactly what you can expect in this short little web page but it can be anything from the unpleasant hierarchical rankings imposed upon us by the school system to the deeply buried terror implanted as part of your religious indoctrination. You can even, if you endured a lot of abuse as a child, experience serious psychological distress and even psychotic sequelea.

Now I'm not saying this to scare you away, you can get through this and if you need help, it is available. I'm just telling you this to warn you. This is no joke and I'm not kidding. You have to take this seriously. This is not the impotent spirituality of your childhood indoctrination, nor is it "sanitized for the masses" bullshit of The Secret. This is the powerful spirituality of your divinity incarnated. The message in all my books is clear, you are gods incarnation and the only reason you live the life you do now, in conditions of passive "accept whatever life gives you" horror, is because you've been lied to about who you really are in order to keep you impotent, powerless, and easy to control.

The Lightning Path will change all that but in the process, you may be surprised by who you really are and the things you are really capable of. So heads up, and if you feel you are becoming ungrounded, if you feel like your head is spinning in multiple directions, help is available. When it comes to spirituality and connection to the glorious Fabric of Consciousness (and who you really are), we do know what we are talking about around here.
