Why does the world appear to be so bat-f$%&* crazy? It’s because we are all walking around with a blindfold on. Because we are blindfolded, we can’t see who we are or where we are going. We’ve been bumping into each other for thousands of years and we are frustrated, tired, and angry. Instead of bumping each other around, take the blindfold off.

The ship is sinking and you have a choice: do nothing and go down, or start swimming to the boat just ahead. It’s your choice, but make it quick because you can’t swim in the cold ocean forever. Eventually you’ll tire and drown.

Parable of the Room

I wrote this little parable way back in 2003. It was the first parable I wrote, though not the first thing I wrote. The first thing I wrote was The Song of Creation. Now, years later, I see this actually performed at the 2017 G20 summit! (view video). Maybe these folks read this parable, maybe they came up with the idea themselves. Credit where credit is due but, ultimately, not a big deal. The point is, it’s starting to come true!

What an amazing parable about what is currently happening today. In a society so concerned with materiality, success fame and notoriety we sometimes forget that all we need is already inside of us. God bless all the Michael Sharps of the world today.
