The System that binds us all. George Harrison (and Queen/David Bowie) saw this clearly, and his song captures the essence of his insight, and the anguish that it causes. The difference between then and now? We know why we have been corrupted and diverted. It is all in the interests of money, power, and a now globalized economy accumulation that is killing the people, and destroying the planet. "> The System that binds us all. This song is a lament to the sleeping, unawakened people of the world, confined to Normal Consciousness, unable to wake up, "perverted" and "diverted" from achieving Connection with higher self/Consciousness.  It is beautiful, and deeply saddening at the same time.

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps.
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps.

I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you.

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps.
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps.

I don't know how you were diverted you were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted no one alerted you.

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps.
I look at you all
Still my guitar gently weeps.
